There are two basic mounting systems used to mount the rack towers on your roof. If you have rain gutters, the Thule 300, 387 or 953 towers are used. If your SUV does NOT have rain gutters, the Thule 400 series towers with vehicle specific adapters are used to locate the rack feet on the roof just above the door jambs.

The VCR locbox is a black steel enclosure designed especially to hold the RT-195 line of VCRs. The lockbox contains a 12VDC fan with filter assembly than positively pressurises the enclosure to insure dust and dirt does not get inside to the VCR. Internal multi-channel foam inserts allow for a shock resistant restrain for any of the above VCRs. Unique side passages of the foam inserts, channel air through the VCR for maximum ventilation. Special cut outs in the foam allow for installation of a Telex or other wireless microphone receiver directly above the VCR. The hinged front door contains a lock and key for secure installations. The lockbox comes standard with mounting "L" brackets and mounting holes for floor or ceiling mounting. Rear wiring holes and side ventilation holes make the VCR Lockbox versatile for any mobile or stationary application.
The Shure LX series wireless audio system is ideal as an addition to any mobile video system. The user wears the battery operated transmitter on his belt pack and clips the lavalier microphone on his/her shirt lapel. This allows audio recording along with a video record for legal purposes. The 12VDC receiver is normally mounted with the VCR and requires an additional antenna that is trunked mounted or has a magnetic base. This wireless system can be ordered with an auxilliary output to turn on a VCR when the transmitter body pack is turned on. PATROL CCTV stocks standard frequencies, but additional ones can be special ordered.
